Department of Business and Management has created a solid learning environment that encourages the integration of management theories, research, and practice within a well-balanced and flexible program of study. This department offers a vast array of advanced courses that provides a foundation in core functional areas while concurrently proposing a wide variety of majors, such as: economics, finance, accounting, management, and marketing.
At 2IP Students become acquainted with general business principles as the program provides a better understanding of the complexities involved in strategic management, operations management, organizational behavior, economic theories, accounting, marketing, business law and finance. In addition, students are encouraged to do an internship for credit with multinational corporations developing activities throughout Europe.
This Department is renowned for its innovative curriculum that focuses on the multitude of business and entrepreneurial approaches necessary for managing organic growth, expansion, and change. It especially concentrates on providing an opportunity for students intending to deepen their knowledge of business in an international context. The flexibility inherent in the program enables students to concentrate on a specific management discipline in preparation for their eventual pursuit of challenging careers in the fields of their specializations.
The Department of Business and Management is designed to give graduate students the skills necessary in both the practical and theoretical aspects of management, using methods similar to those found in top-tier American Business Schools. This includes the analysis of relevant case studies, challenging group and individual projects, and robust, student driven in-class participation; all the while being guided by visiting business executives in course exercises. Students become acquainted with general international business principles as the program provides a better understanding of all functional areas of management.
Thus, the Department of Business and Management serves not only its own major concentrations, but also adds depth, breadth, and inherent value to each student’s academic experience by applying the best social science methods and theories to the diverse challenges currently being confronted by those with management responsibilities. As a component of the curriculum, our students have regular interaction with practitioners from a wide variety of companies, sectors and cultural backgrounds in the business world; in part through the Institute’s Business Advisory Council.
